Since 1980, Jack has been the principal of his
legal practice in Solvang, with an emphasis in real estate,
business, civil litigation and estate planning needs for
clients involved in real estate transactions in Santa Barbara
and San Luis Obispo counties. His expertise includes real
estate development, land use and planning, water company
and homeowner association formation, business entity formation
and real estate and business transactional matters. Jack's
real estate expertise has brought successful results for
clients in numerous appearances and appeals before the Santa
Barbara County Council, Planning and Building Departments
regarding development applications, parcel map approvals,
and lot line adjustments.
From 1963 to 1980, Jack was the senior partner
in the Santa Barbara firm of Westwick & Collison
In his professional capacity, Jack has served
as legal counsel for numerous central coast boards of realtors
for over twenty years, has served since 1973 on the Legal
Affairs Steering Committee for the California Association
of Realtors7, served as Moderator for the Continuing Education
of the Bar (CEB) Programs on Real Estate Broker Practice
in 1991 and 1995, was a contributing writer to the CEB Action
Guide on Handling Real Property Sales Transactions in 1993
and has been a speaker at numerous seminars on current real
estate topics to real estate boards and associations spanning
time periods over the last thirty years.

Jack is an avid tennis player and horseman
and enjoys trail rides and other equestrian events in his
